Estate Settlement Manager

Lead a team of Trust Administrators and Trust Specialists who develop and maintain a portfolio of revenue-generating client relationships within affluent and high-net-worth market segments and/or Estate Settlement. Provide thought leadership to deliver a superior customer experience while driving team growth through education, training, and documented procedures aligned with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop a team of Senior Trust Administrators specialized in administering trusts, estates, and other fiduciary accounts for high-net-worth clients; serve as subject-matter expert on fiduciary matters and client-specific issues.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of fiduciary administration.
  • Foster growth, retention, and client satisfaction of the Trust business in partnership with Wealth Advisors, with a deep understanding of high-net-worth clients' needs and solutions.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures to ensure prudent fiduciary decisions across new business review, account administration, and overall risk management.
  • Monitor internal processes and fiduciary risk metrics; ensure timely, accurate completion of administrative reviews, control partner requests, and data remediation.
  • Ensure all new business aligns with the fiduciary product/service set, proper channel, and established risk appetite.
  • Escalate key risk and fiduciary issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Accountable for sign-off on all fiduciary approvals.
  • Support design and execution of fiduciary training offerings and participate in management-level committees.
  • Develop partnerships and collaboration with internal business partners, including Portfolio Managers and Wealth Management Advisors; participate in the sales process and review of new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience (7+ years preferred).
  • University degree preferred.
  • JD and/or CTFA certification.
  • 3+ years in probate estates and estate settlement.
  • 3+ years of state and gift tax experience.

Pay

Base pay range: $120,000/yr – $123,000/yr. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The competitive compensation package may also include participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
