Estate Planning Attorney - Dallas, TX

About the Role

Cordell & Cordell is seeking an experienced full-time Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration attorney. Some flexibility in schedule and daily location is available, but daily in-office presence is generally required due to client consults and document signings.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial consultations with clients and manage the caseload generated by same.
• Draft estate planning documents for clients with varying net worth.
• Represent clients in probate court cases in various Missouri jurisdictions.
• Provide superior representation, including monthly status reports and weekly file reviews.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited university.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney; experience as a trust officer may be considered.
• Experience drafting estate planning documents, probate, and trust administration.
• Ability to quickly learn new technical programs and software.

Qualifications

• Experience with trust and probate litigation.
• Experience representing clients for guardianship and conservatorship applications.
• Experience planning for high or ultra-high net worth clients and general taxation knowledge.
• Experience with Medicaid asset planning.
• Existing book of business to bring with them.
