Job Functions
- Draft estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.) and advise clients on estate planning matters.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, pleadings, and litigation-related filings.
- Manage discovery and other litigation support activities.
- Conduct legal research.
- Attend and conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
- Represent clients in court for probate, estate, and litigation matters.
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
Skills & Requirements
- Member of the California Bar and in good standing.
- 5+ years of experience in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Probate, and Litigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a professional environment and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, including the ability to remain calm and efficient during stressful situations.
- Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently.
