About the role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist clients with the legal aspects of managing their wealth and ensuring their assets are distributed according to their wishes after their death. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about estate planning and helping clients secure their financial future.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Advise clients on the legal aspects of wealth management, including tax planning and asset protection strategies.
  • Handle complex legal issues related to elder law, Medicaid, guardianship, and wrongful death.
  • Represent clients in probate court and handle estate administration duties as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in estate planning and related legal fields.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure a comprehensive service is provided to clients.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar.
  • A minimum of 2-15 years of experience in estate planning, trust, and elder law.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of estate planning, trusts, elder law, Medicaid, guardianship, and wrongful death.
  • Proven experience in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills and trusts.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
