About The Opportunity

A modern, law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Litigation & Guardianship Attorney to manage probate, estate, and guardianship matters throughout Illinois. This is a fully remote position offering significant autonomy, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work within a streamlined digital-first practice environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle contested and uncontested probate, estate, and guardianship matters
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Conduct legal research and advise clients on litigation strategy
• Manage court appearances, including virtual hearings where applicable
• Negotiate settlements in estate and guardianship disputes
• Conduct client consultations, case evaluations, and document reviews
• Cook up with courts, clients, and opposing counsel to move matters efficiently
• Support internal process improvements and consistent client service delivery

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in probate litigation, trust & estate disputes, and guardianship matters
• Strong experience handling both adult and minor guardianship cases
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working in a technology-driven, remote environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and case management skills
