ESSA- Special Programs Instructional Assistant, 2026-27 - Richmond

To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and special education settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist a licensed teacher in planning and implementing educational programs, including IEPs.
• Support student achievement in both general and special education settings.

Requirements

The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing, and math. If you meet any of the below ESSA requirements, you must register this information with the district by attaching transcripts and/or test results to your job application.

Pay

Hourly Range: $24.03 - $30.65
