Esports Game Coach - Valorant (Temporary)
UW-Green Bay Esports Lounge opened in February 2022 in the University Union. The Lounge now boasts 30 gaming PCs and 4 Nintendo Switch consoles open for all students to use, operating 12 hours per day on weekdays and 7 hours per day on weekends during the semester. The program fields competitive teams in 6 game titles: Rocket League, VALORANT, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and includes an in-house broadcast studio to livestream matches. Teams primarily compete in the Wisconsin Esports Conference, often culminating in a regional LAN event before the championship LAN. Each team’s experience centers on semester-specific goals, with practice schedules built collaboratively with student-athletes. Rosters are formed through open tryouts up to 3 times per year, incorporating student-athlete feedback, and student leadership drives the team environment.
