ESL Filling Operator, Overnight, Dairy - Dacula

Responsibilities

Setting up, operating, maintaining and cleaning the sterile Extended Shelf Life (ESL) filling equipment
Monitoring caps, codes, weights and carton integrity
Tasting products for quality
Maintaining sterility of equipment related to ESL filling and conveying
Maintaining sterility in the ESL filling area at all times
Maintaining a hygienic, tightly controlled environment for the packaging of ESL products
Disassembling and reassembling fillers and associated equipment for cleaning and ensuring they are safe and sterile
Manual and hand cleaning of the equipment in the ESL packaging area
Cleaning the environment of the filling room
Operating and documenting daily CIP and sterilization activities of the equipment
Operating the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment
Accurately recording daily production data and regulatory information and verifying they are within the established control limits for proper operation
Performing laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of product
Producing a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and regulatory standards
Performing minor repairs, preventative maintenance and mechanical adjustments as needed and
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Must have excellent safety work habits
• Have good understanding of sanitation practices and principles including manual and automated cleaning
• Must have mechanical aptitude and demonstrate mechanical abilities
• Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
• Able to lift up to 50+ pounds repetitively
• Must be able to learn and perform all positions
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
• Must be able to obtain a license and operate a forklift
• Must be able to perform basic math
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must have excellent safety work habits

• Year End Bonus: To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
