Forklift Palletizer Operator, Overnight, Dairy - Dacula
About the role
Performing daily start up and shut down tasks
Stacking product when necessary
Tracking and tagging pallets
Operating equipment
Keeping the machines supplied with necessary materials
Transporting, loading and unloading pallets of product from trailers
Performing minor mechanical adjustments and preventative maintenance on equipment
Performing sensory evaluations on products and ingredients
Completing all necessary paperwork required by the position
Responsibilities
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Demonstrate safe work habits
- Able to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift
- Able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
- Able to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work well with others and be a team member
- Able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
- Able to assist other team members in other areas
- Able to work for an extended period of time
- Able to use creative thinking for troubleshooting
- Able to perform basic mechanical skills
- Able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
- Able to use basic math skills
- Able to communicate effectively
- Show enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work

- General knowledge of machine operation and touch screen control systems (preferred)

Pay
Year End Bonus To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
