ESL/BSI Full-Time Teacher

Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey English as a Second Language certification
• Knowledgeable of NJSLS, WIDA, and mandated state testing
• Excellent experience teaching and working with various grade level students
• Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
  • teaching English as a second language
  • child growth and development
  • effective instructional strategies
  • classroom management
  • learning assessment and diagnosis
  • research related to learning and children needing to learn English as a second language
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
• Demonstrate the ability to use technology and technological devices to:
  • enhance lessons
  • word processing
  • data management
  • information retrieval
  • visual and audio presentations
  • telecommunications
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
• Successful implementation of instructional strategies
• Computer literate
• Highly motivated, result-driven educator
