Full-Time Teacher

About the role

LearnWell is seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Valhalla, NY on a full-time basis for the 26-27 school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports

Requirements

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• New York State teaching license
• Comfortable working with K-12 students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
• Reliable transportation

Schedule

40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm.
