Escrow Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential escrow transactions from initiation through closing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and escrow procedures.
  • Prepare and review escrow instructions, settlement statements, closing disclosures, title commitments, and related closing documents.
  • Cook up and coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and internal teams to facilitate successful closings.
  • Research property titles and resolve title-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Identify and resolve transaction issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and assist in business development.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices through continuing education.

Qualifications

  • 3-20 years as an Escrow Officer, with existing book of business.
  • Proficiency in TLTA guidelines and title processing procedures.
  • Proficient in basic math skills for accurate calculations related to transactions.
  • Excellent typing skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
