Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential escrow transactions from initiation through closing.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and escrow procedures.
- Prepare and review escrow instructions, settlement statements, closing disclosures, title commitments, and related closing documents.
- Cook up and coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and internal teams to facilitate successful closings.
- Research property titles and resolve title-related issues or discrepancies.
- Identify and resolve transaction issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and assist in business development.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices through continuing education.
Qualifications
- 3-20 years as an Escrow Officer, with existing book of business.
- Proficiency in TLTA guidelines and title processing procedures.
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate calculations related to transactions.
- Excellent typing skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations is highly desirable.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
