About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to manage residential and commercial escrow transactions from opening through closing. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a high volume of transactions while building and maintaining strong relationships with real estate agents, lenders, builders, and other industry professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire escrow process from opening to closing while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Review purchase agreements, lender instructions, title commitments, and related documents to facilitate accurate and timely closings.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and title personnel throughout the transaction.
- Prepare and review escrow instructions, settlement statements, closing disclosures, and other closing documents.
- Ensure all conditions of the escrow have been satisfied prior to closing.
- Verify receipt of all required funds and documents before authorizing disbursement.
- Coordinate the recording of documents and timely disbursement of funds.
- Resolve title, escrow, and closing issues while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate transaction files and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners to generate repeat and referral business.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the escrow process.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an Escrow Officer in the title and escrow industry.
- Proven experience managing escrow transactions independently from opening through closing.
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, title insurance, real estate contracts, and lender requirements.
- Excellent understanding of state and federal regulations governing escrow transactions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Professional demeanor with a customer-first approach.
- Proficiency with escrow and title software systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Established relationships with real estate agents, lenders, and other referral partners.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow a book of business.
- Experience handling high-volume residential and/or commercial escrow transactions.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer and telephone for prolonged periods, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or lift light office materials.
