About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to manage residential and commercial escrow transactions from opening through closing. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a high volume of transactions while building and maintaining strong relationships with real estate agents, lenders, builders, and other industry professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire escrow process from opening to closing while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Review purchase agreements, lender instructions, title commitments, and related documents to facilitate accurate and timely closings.
  • Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and title personnel throughout the transaction.
  • Prepare and review escrow instructions, settlement statements, closing disclosures, and other closing documents.
  • Ensure all conditions of the escrow have been satisfied prior to closing.
  • Verify receipt of all required funds and documents before authorizing disbursement.
  • Coordinate the recording of documents and timely disbursement of funds.
  • Resolve title, escrow, and closing issues while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate transaction files and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners to generate repeat and referral business.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the escrow process.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as an Escrow Officer in the title and escrow industry.
  • Proven experience managing escrow transactions independently from opening through closing.
  • Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, title insurance, real estate contracts, and lender requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of state and federal regulations governing escrow transactions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional demeanor with a customer-first approach.
  • Proficiency with escrow and title software systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established relationships with real estate agents, lenders, and other referral partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow a book of business.
  • Experience handling high-volume residential and/or commercial escrow transactions.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer and telephone for prolonged periods, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or lift light office materials.
