Escalator Cleaner Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean escalators using approved cleaning equipment, tools, and cleaning solutions
  • Remove dirt, debris, grease, and buildup from escalator surfaces
  • Properly mix and dilute cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer and safety guidelines
  • Transport cleaning supplies and equipment throughout the facility as needed
  • Cookordinate with facility operations personnel to temporarily close and reopen escalators for cleaning
  • Ensure surrounding areas are cleaned and left in a neat, safe condition after service
  • Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and work practices
  • Immediately report safety concerns, equipment issues, or hazards to supervision
  • Complete assigned cleaning routes and tasks during scheduled shifts

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift and move 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Minimum of 2 years of cleaning, custodial, or equipment operation experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Demonstrated commitment to working safely and following established safety procedures
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work overnight schedules

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting and movement of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe work practices
  • Maintain situational awareness and safety awareness at all times
