About the role
As an experienced Elevator/Escalator Repairperson, you will troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, adjust, assemble, and disassemble elevators, escalators, and similarly related equipment and their components.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, repair, and adjust elevators, escalators, and related equipment and their components.
- Use diagnostic software, microprocessors, and PLC logic controls.
- Read and interpret control schematics, identify components, and understand their functions.
- Inspect, disassemble, install, and test motor controls and components on escalators, elevators, or similar equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions in elevator/escalator systems and inspect, adjust, and maintain hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems related to elevators and escalators.
- Troubleshoot and repair controllers and/or components.
- Comply with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report safety concerns, compromises, or hazards affecting operations, the public, or employees.
- Promote personal safety and the safety of others.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of technical electro-mechanical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Three years of relevant work experience (trade school curriculum may substitute for up to one year of experience).
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass a pre-employment written test.
