ERSEA and Data Coordinator
Open until filled | Reports to Director of Family Engagement, Health & ERSEA | Exempt – Benefits Eligible | Full Time Equivalent: 40 hours per week/52 weeks per year
About the Role
The ERSEA and Data Coordinator serves as the lead for overseeing and monitoring ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment & Attendance) and data. The coordinator will work collaboratively with all Head Start service area leadership to ensure the execution of high-quality ERSEA, data systems, and policies in full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Community Action Program Committee’s policies and procedures.
The ERSEA and Data Coordinator ensures the program is fully enrolled, reaches Head Start eligible children and families, maintains high levels of attendance, and delivers a high level of customer experience throughout the recruitment, application, and enrollment process. The role is responsible for ensuring data is effectively used to drive decision-making and serves on the program’s Leadership Team, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness while partnering with the Head Start Director to integrate data for compliance and quality.
The ERSEA and Data Coordinator oversees the management and implementation of CAPC’s child information database, Shine Insight, for tracking, reporting, and analyzing information about children and families. Responsibilities include training staff on data use, providing technical support, ensuring data accuracy, and reporting and analyzing information.
Responsibilities
- Lead oversight and monitoring of ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment & Attendance).
- Collaborate with Head Start service area leadership to execute high-quality ERSEA and data systems in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
- Ensure the program is fully enrolled and reaches eligible children and families in the community.
- Maintain high levels of attendance and deliver a high-quality customer experience throughout recruitment, application, and enrollment.
- Ensure data is effectively used to drive decision-making across the Head Start program.
- Serve on the program’s Leadership Team and ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
- Partner with the Head Start Director to integrate data for compliance and quality improvement.
- Oversee the management and implementation of the child information database, Shine Insight.
- Train staff on data use, provide technical support, and ensure data accuracy.
- Report and analyze information about children and families.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience and training related to social, human, or family engagement.
- Experience assisting parents of young children in advocating and decision-making for their families.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with children and parents.
- Experience with data collection and analysis.
- Proficiency in MS software products and basic data systems, including internet navigation.
- Self-starter with the ability to initiate and complete projects independently.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable making presentations.
- Ability to synthesize information quickly and clearly.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and data-driven decision-making skills.
Physical Demands
- Primarily office-based; may travel to other center locations and community events.
- Frequent keyboarding, finger dexterity, and computer use.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Licenses and Certifications
- Current Florida Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Satisfactory criminal records check for abuse and neglect.
- State-required minimum vehicle insurance and uninsured motorist insurance.
- Compliance with all Department of Children and Families requirements.
- Maintain First Aid/CPR certification.
- Background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (per Florida HB 531).
Pay
$29.88 per hour
