ERS-NETA Electrical Training Specialist - Denver

About the Role

Develop and conduct programs to train clients and internal company employees on the safe operation, maintenance, and testing of electrical power system equipment. Create course materials including manuals, training aids, instructor outlines, and audio/visual materials for both internal and external technical training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and administering new training programs.
• Develop outlines, text, handouts, tests, and design laboratory exercises.
• Review classes and provide support and assistance to other instructors.
• Administer written and practical exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainee’s performance.
• Perform field maintenance and testing support.
• Provide training course development and support.
• Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to the Training Services Service Center.

Requirements

• Demonstrates ability to work well with others, use sound judgment, and possess good technical, teaching, and business knowledge.

• Must be willing to make public speaking presentations as assigned.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, if required.
• Available for out-of-area assignments of up to several weeks and to assist on field assignments when required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle tools or components, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear, and smell.
• Frequently required to sit, climb, or balance.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Minimum of four years in related electrical power field engineering work or training experience.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this role in the Colorado locality is between $64,000 to $80,000 annually. Pay ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Eligible for additional rewards including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock based on individual performance.
