About the Role

Develops and conducts programs to train clients and internal company employees. Creates course materials including manuals, training aids, instructor outlines, and audio/visual materials. Supports new business development and services as a customer contact and liaison.

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal and external technical training on safe operation, maintenance, and testing of electrical power system equipment.
  • Train ERS and HVM field service associates on operation and safe NETA-based testing and maintenance of electrical power system equipment.
  • Train ERS and HVM client personnel on safe operation of electrical power system equipment and electrical safe work practices.
  • Develop, prepare, and conduct technical training programs, including content and instructional materials.
  • Design exercises to enhance classroom lecture content.
  • Manage training programs (course/curriculum).
  • Assist in developing and administering new training programs.
  • Develop outlines, text, handouts, tests, and laboratory exercises.
  • Review classes and provide support and assistance to other instructors.
  • Administer written and practical exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainee’s performance.
  • Perform field maintenance and testing support.
  • Provide training course development and support.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain useful information for the Training Services Service Center.
  • Promote, schedule, coordinate, and communicate training delivery with all involved parties.
  • Support sales and operations leaders to promote external training with customer representatives.
  • Attend/lead calls with clients to determine training needs, level of training required, and duration.
  • Coordinate, schedule, reserve resources, and manage course offerings (duration, content, etc.).
  • Work with internal and external clients to identify course content needs, determine training duration, and level of training.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates ability to work well with others, use sound judgment, and possess strong technical, teaching, and business knowledge.
  • Expected involvement in IEEE, IAEI, and/or other professional organizations.
  • Experience in making public speaking presentations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, if required.
  • Availability for out-of-area assignments of up to several weeks and field assignments when required.
  • Physical requirements:
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle tools or components, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear, and smell.
    • Frequently required to sit, climb, or balance.
    • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience

Graduate Engineer (BSEE) with a minimum of 6 years in related electrical power field engineering and training, or graduate of applicable electrical technical school, Master’s Electrician License, or military equivalent with a minimum of 8 years in related electrical power field engineering training experience (preferred).

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this role in Colorado is $89,000 to $111,500 annually. Pay ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock based on individual performance and role. Sales incentives may also be available based on revenue or utilization.
