About the role

Location: Greenville, MI

At Tenneco, we don’t follow industry standards; we set them. Guided by our Core Values — radical candor, simplify, organizational velocity, tenacious execution, and win — and our Get Stuff Done (GSD) mindset, we are committed to becoming the most trusted partner, manufacturer, and distributor in the transportation industry. Our people are passionate changemakers who bring energy, dedication, and innovation to everything they do.

In this role, you will be the plant owner of the controls that keep ERP transactions, master data, and physical inventory aligned. You will establish process ownership, standard work, pay-point discipline, cycle-count governance, traceability, access controls, and audit-ready evidence. By connecting system behavior with shop-floor execution, you will create the trusted data foundation required for P3 Integrated Supply Chain planning, customer delivery, financial accuracy, and certification.

Responsibilities

  • ERP and Transaction Expertise: Manage receipts, issues, transfers, production reporting, order closure, shipments, scrap, returns, and inventory adjustments; ensure transactions occur at the defined pay point and resolve failed transactions quickly.
  • Master Data Governance: Govern item, supplier, customer, location, BOM, routing, lead-time, MOQ, and planning data with clear owners, approval workflows, change control, and recurring audits.
  • Inventory Assurance: Run effective cycle-count and reconciliation processes, analyze variances, control adjustments, protect traceability, and ensure corrective actions eliminate recurrence.
  • System Governance: Define plant ERP standard work, roles, access, training, backups, escalation paths, and evidence retention; collaborate with IT and application experts to remove barriers without creating shadow systems.
  • Lean Data Integrity: Simplify transactions, eliminate duplicate work, improve first-time accuracy, and make data quality visible through daily management and root-cause problem solving.
  • Stakeholder Enablement: Provide Supply Chain Planners with reliable master data and inventory balances for MRP, scheduling, and promises; create practical transaction standards for Operations and Material Handling; support Finance with inventory valuation, reconciliation, controls, and audit readiness; define business requirements and sustain user adoption with IT and Application Teams; deliver trusted KPI trends, control status, systemic risks, and recovery actions to Plant and Regional Leadership.
  • Legacy Outcomes: Achieve one version of the truth where ERP and physical inventory align; establish disciplined transactions with clear pay points, trained users, visible exceptions, and timely closure; sustain controlled master data with ownership and change control; embed an inventory accuracy culture through cycle counting, root cause analysis, adjustment approval, and traceability; maintain audit and P3 readiness with organized evidence, standard work, access control, KPI review, and corrective-action records.

Requirements

  • ERP Inventory Processes: Hands-on experience with inventory, production, purchasing, sales, warehouse, and master-data transactions.
  • Inventory Control: Experience with cycle counts, physical inventory, reconciliation, variance analysis, traceability, and adjustment governance.
  • Master Data Management: Experience governing BOMs, routings, locations, item data, lead times, MOQ, and related planning records.
  • Controls and Audit: Knowledge of financial controls, access management, evidence retention, and audit support in a manufacturing environment.
  • Change and Capability Building: Experience creating standard work, training users, resolving recurring issues, and eliminating offline workarounds.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, supply chain, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong ERP, Excel, and BI/analytics capability; WMS or MDM knowledge is valued.
  • Experience with Plex ERP system or comparable ERP system.
  • Understanding of inventory accounting and internal-control implications.
  • Strong analytical discipline, attention to detail, and ability to influence process owners.
  • Fluent in English and the local plant language, as required.
  • Ability to work full time, onsite at the Greenville, MI location required.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being.
  • Opportunity to work and learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while shaping the P3 Integrated Supply Chain operating system.
  • Hands-on exposure
