Erle Lab - Junior Specialist
About the role
The Erle Lab is now recruiting for a Junior Specialist. The junior specialist will perform experiments designed to help understand fundamental mechanisms underlying asthma. Changes in airway epithelial cells and airway mucus are important contributors to asthma. In severe asthma, mucus plugs obstruct the airway and we are conducting studies to understand the causes of mucus plugging. The laboratory uses primary cultures of human airway epithelial cells and tests the roles of specific genes using CRISPR-based and other approaches.
