About the Role

Serve as a technical resource for qualified retirement plan compliance, helping colleagues and clients understand plan rules, regulations, amendments, corrections, and complex eligibility issues. Partner with retirement plan, audit, and compliance teams to support risk management, address operational issues, and help ensure plan administration aligns with applicable ERISA and Department of Labor requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical resource for retirement plan compliance questions, providing clear interpretation of regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Research regulatory and compliance topics and share findings with senior compliance leadership and internal colleagues in a timely manner.
  • Review plan amendments for accuracy and potential unintended consequences, partnering with relationship management and compliance teams on identified concerns.
  • Support resolution of operational defects by reviewing correction calculations and authorizing appropriate corrections.
  • Assist with pre-acceptance documentation reviews for new retirement plans.
  • Maintain current knowledge of ERISA and Department of Labor compliance laws and regulations that impact retirement plan services.
  • Assist with compliance testing, including general nondiscrimination and average benefit percentage testing.
  • Prepare and present standard compliance reports and assist with IRS and Department of Labor filings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Economics, or Legal.
  • 2+ years of ERISA and qualified plans administration experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASPPA, CEBS, CRPS, or PRP certification within 1 year.

Pay

$56,700.00 - $97,200.00 per year
