Responsibilities

• Assist in providing emergency veterinary care
• Perform routine and specialized medical procedures under supervision
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Document patient care and treatment in electronic health records
• Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current North Carolina license as a Veterinary Technician or Assistant (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Experience in emergency veterinary care preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and software
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
