About the Role

This role supports the Emergency Department in patient care tasks, patient interactions, supply stocking, transportation of patients, and assisting with procedures. The role utilizes clinical knowledge to assist with patient needs and allows for professional development in areas of clinical skills, communication, and customer service.

Daily work includes utilizing phones, answering call lights, working with peers, and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care tasks in the Emergency Department
• Engage in patient interactions and assist with procedures
• Stock supplies and transport patients
• Utilize clinical knowledge to address patient needs
• Answer phones and call lights
• Collaborate with peers

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to evaluate the criticality of patient needs
• Superior customer relation skills
• Minimum one-year emergency/urgent care experience or equivalent college education preferred
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• EMT licensure preferred

Additional Requirements

• Vaccination or lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella
• Annual flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption
