ER TECH/HUC - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

About the role

The ER Technician/Health Unit Coordinator (ER TECH/HUC) works under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) as part of the healthcare team to assist with patient care activities. Tasks are delegated according to Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines set by Premier Health.

Responsibilities

• Aid in patient care activities as directed by RN/LPN.
• Coordinate daily clerical activities on the nursing unit.
• Directly or indirectly impact patient outcomes and care provided to patients, families, and significant others.

Requirements

• High School completion or GED.
• Current CPR certification at the time of hire.
• Successful completion of a Nurse’s aide training course within the last twelve months.
• At least six months of patient care experience within the last six months.
• Currently enrolled in nursing school with completion of core nursing classes.
• Six months of experience in a Premier acute care setting.

Pay

$18.50 - $20.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Nights, 7p-7a, 72 hours per pay period.
