ER/ICU Veterinary Technician (1st & 2nd Shift) - New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center

Position Overview

Join our team as a Veterinary Technician who supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and stabilize patients
  • Place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics
  • Maintain nursing skills
  • Assist during surgery and operations
  • Provide nursing care
  • Assist with feeding and caring for patients
  • Maintain medical supplies and equipment
  • Oversee triage and discharge patients
  • Maintain patient medical records
  • Administer medications, CRIs, and blood products
  • Calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration
  • Provide clear, compassionate updates to clients
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, calm ICU environment
  • Have patience and empathy to address client concerns

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of veterinary technician experience (ER preferred but not required)
  • Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills
  • Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally charged situations
  • Kindness, teamwork, and a steady, supportive presence

Qualifications

  • Experienced and/or credentialed technicians highly encouraged to apply

Schedule

4 shifts per week, 1st and 2nd shift openings
