ER Coord ED Flow
Job Summary
Every patient deserves attentive, timely, and well‑coordinated care. As the RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources, you’ll help teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient‑centered. In moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers.
- Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs.
- Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions.
- Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes.
- Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers.
- Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of ER RN experience (required).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse Associate Degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
