Equity Solutions Specialist
Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia • Full-time • Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hiring range: $21 - $25 per hour (higher compensation may be considered based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity)
About the role
The Equity Solutions Specialist reports directly to the Equity Operations Manager and is responsible for the equity solution process, including working equity referrals from retail team members, taking inbound calls from members, and processing online applications. You will recommend appropriate equity products based on a member’s unique situation and refer to a 1st Mortgage Loan Officer when needed. Knowledge of real estate compliance—including what constitutes an application and when disclosures are required—is essential. You will serve as a liaison between the member, credit officers, equity processors, and funders, assisting members with loan support documents, payoffs, and closings.
Responsibilities
- Create an environment of exceptional member service by providing sound product recommendations that meet members’ needs, including referrals to 1st mortgage MLOs and retail partners when appropriate
- Develop and build relationships with Chartway’s member base through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Collaborate with branch teams, equity teams, credit officers, and other departments to find solutions that benefit members
- Assess internal processes and recommend improvements to enhance the member experience
- Understand and adhere to lending regulations, including TILA, RESPA, TRID, ECOA, HOEPA, and HMDA
- Manage a pipeline of referrals and applications, ensuring timely responses and follow-up
- Work with credit officers to submit complete, accurate applications for faster decisions
- Serve as a member service liaison to provide a personal experience and minimize touchpoints for members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of lending experience, including understanding credit reports and the application process (equity lending experience preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience providing top-notch customer service, creative problem resolution, and relationship building
- Good credit history
