Digital Equity Specialist
About the role
The Digital Equity Specialist will support digital equity programming by partnering with organizations to recruit residents and Housing Choice Voucher participants, conducting outreach and engagement activities, and facilitating resident participation in digital equity initiatives. They will coordinate with KCHA staff across departments on projects, programs, and initiatives related to digital equity. Additionally, they will assist with program planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting activities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with organizations to recruit residents and Housing Choice Voucher participants, conduct outreach and engagement activities, and facilitate resident participation in digital equity initiatives.
- Cook with KCHA staff across departments on projects, programs, and initiatives related to digital equity.
- Coordinate assigned programs and support services to ensure successful implementation and quality delivery of services.
- Collect, track, analyze, and interpret program data and performance measures; identify opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations accordingly.
- Aid in program planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting activities.
- Prepare reports, funding proposals, budgets, work plans, presentations, and outreach materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, service providers, and collaborative partners.
- Represent KCHA through meetings, speaking engagements, networks, and regional collaboratives.
- Support contracted services by coordinating deliverables, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Aid in program budgets, expenditure tracking, and recommendations related to program effectiveness and resource utilization.
Requirements
Experience & Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Library Science, Social Services, or a related field AND Considerable experience (3+ to 5 years) developing and implementing digital equity strategies, social service programs, community partnerships, or program management initiatives OR An equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
