Responsibilities

  • Modeling financial statements and conducting fundamental research
  • Writing timely and actionable research reports on public companies
  • Tracking and analyzing industry themes, news, data and trends
  • Maintaining relationships with company and industry contacts
  • Interacting with institutional sales, corporate, and buyside clients
  • Attending industry events (some travel may be required)

Qualifications

  • Intellectual curiosity, avid reader, and broad-based knowledge spanning multiple industries
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills
  • Must be able to synthesize, simplify, and present complex information to a wide audience
  • A solid understanding of finance and accounting with the ability to build complex financial models from the ground up (i.e., a modeling test is required)
  • Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with Excel, including ability to work with large data sets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against tight deadlines
  • Team oriented, collaborative, and highly motivated

About the Role

Jefferies Equity Research is seeking an experienced associate to join the Technology and Information Services team, which covers the intersection of technology, data & analytics, and information services. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 3+ years of experience.

Primary Location
Full Time
Salary Range of $135,000 - $165,000.
