Equity Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Senior Analyst in covering a number of high-profile stocks
• Maintaining contact with Benchmark’s sales and trading platform, global institutional clients and senior company executives with the common goal of developing all aspects of Benchmark’s business
• Building out lead coverage and obtaining market leading client recognition in a number of stocks
• Interacting with public company executives at corporate access events
• Providing investment insight and impacting the investment research process

Qualifications

• Received undergraduate degree in economics, finance or accounting required
• CFA and/or MBA a plus
• Relevant experience in the finance industry, specifically investment business
• Willing to obtain FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 Licenses
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
• Experience creating financial models is strongly preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with report design and statistical analysis in a business or corporate environment
• Ability to execute projects in an independent and/or team environment
• Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail are mandatory

Pay

Hiring Salary Range $110,000 - $130,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)
