Equity Research Senior Associate - Payments, Processors & IT Services
About the role
Citi’s Equity Research team is looking for a Senior Associate to support coverage of the Payments, Processors & IT Services sector, delivering high-quality investment insights that shape the decisions of equity investors across the globe. Based within a team recognized for its independence, objectivity, and analytical depth, you will play a meaningful role in producing research, engaging clients, and driving analytical excellence across one of the most dynamic areas in global markets. Responsibilities
- Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
- Maintains and updates existing company models; creates new models; maintains relative value sheets.
- Assists with the publication of earnings previews/recaps, initiation reports, deep dive notes and other group products.
- Assists with client inquiries and requests (internal and external).
- Assists with coordination of investor meetings (management meetings & field trips) and conference calls with consultants.
- Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5–8 years of previous experience.
- MBA or graduate degree and/or CFA preferred.
- Experience in Equity or Credit Research in the relevant sector preferred.
- Good knowledge of accounting and modeling.
- Experience supporting senior equity research analysts.
- Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Secure and maintain applicable licenses.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

Pay
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $150,000.00 – $175,000.00. In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
