Responsibilities
- Produce equity research publications across the Communication Services & Infrastructure sector, including earnings previews and recaps, initiation reports, and in-depth thematic notes.
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for covered companies, developing new frameworks and sustaining relative value analysis to support ongoing research coverage.
- Advise internal and external clients on sector developments, delivering timely, accurate, and well-reasoned analysis in response to investment inquiries.
- Partner with the lead analyst to develop research ideas and translate complex financial data into clear, actionable investment insights for a global client base.
- Cook up investor events including management meetings, field trips, and industry consultant calls, ensuring seamless execution and a high-quality client experience.
- Assess the reputational and regulatory context of business decisions, maintaining Citi's standards of compliance and ethical conduct across all research activities.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performance research culture grounded in knowledge sharing and analytical rigor.
Requirements
- Five to eight years of experience in equity research or a closely related investment analysis role.
- Solid grounding in accounting principles and financial modelling applied within an equity research context.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior equity research analysts in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment ideas clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and validate complex, multi-source financial data accurately.
- Active FINRA licenses — SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 — or a confirmed commitment to obtain and maintain these licenses upon joining.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Skills
- MBA, graduate degree, or CFA designation — or active progress toward completing one.
- Sector knowledge or prior coverage experience within Communication Services, Infrastructure, or adjacent industries.
- Experience in an informal leadership capacity within a research team, including involvement in coaching or onboarding colleagues.
