Equity Analyst & Reporter

Job Description

This person will:

• Identify opportunities through deep research, rigorous analysis of company financials and market trends, and conversations with leading analysts and investors.
• Reach out to C-suite executives or report on the ground to gather insights firsthand.
• Be fluent in balance sheets, income statements, and valuation metrics, and recognize shifts in company prospects.
• Work with Wall Street professionals and turn relationships into actionable insights and fresh perspectives.
• Combine depth of Wall Street analysis with accessibility of communication, helping CNBC’s audience understand both what to buy/sell and the reasoning behind each idea.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of writing similar content at another major publication
• A passion for investing and uncovering new trends on Wall Street
• Strong journalistic writing and research skills, able to work in high-intensity environments under tight deadlines
• A collaborative approach that welcomes teamwork

• Well-researched investment ideas that were successful
• Established relationships with Wall Street investors and analysts
• Deep understanding of company fundamentals
• Past experience analyzing companies
• MBA and/or CFA credential
• Experience working in a fast-paced digital newsroom

Additional Requirements

• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Hybrid: Minimum of three days per week in the office

Salary Range

$100,000 - $125,000 yearly
