About the role

Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of ‘Equities Electronic Trading Technology Production Support Lead Analyst’ within its global support team located on the NY trading floor. The successful candidate will provide technical support and production management for Citi’s suite of Equities E-trading applications, working closely with development and business teams to resolve issues ranging from business to technology problems. The role is hands-on, investigative, and involves technical direction to teammates, as well as collaboration with regional teams across countries.

Responsibilities

  • Own and provide L2 support for mission-critical Equities E-trading applications.
  • Work closely with development, QA, business support, and Equities business teams to determine strategy, priorities, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Provide technical application support, monitor applications and technical platforms, and respond to queries via phone, email, and other channels.
  • Serve as the expert on application processes, database schema, upstream and downstream dependencies; provide detailed knowledge without necessarily reading application code.
  • Perform problem-solving tasks before escalating to other teams using agreed-upon formats and logs; make key technical recommendations during major incidents based on system and process knowledge.
  • Follow through to ensure each problem is resolved according to SLA.
  • Communicate issues and status updates effectively with business support, regional colleagues, and development teams.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of Equities Support experience
  • Trade floor support experience
  • FIX knowledge
  • Python and Perl
  • Java application support experience
  • Linux/Unix Shell Scripting
  • SQL database experience
  • Clear communication skills
  • Passion to grow within production support
  • 7+ years of application support experience
  • Ability to effectively share information with support team members and other technology teams
  • Ability to plan and organize workload
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

Nice to have

  • KDB experience

Education

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Pay

$142,320.00 – $213,480.00 per year. In addition to salary, Citi offers discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards for eligible employees.
