Job DescriptionPerform complex machinery problem solving of semiconductor equipment in production environment for the Wet Etch area and participate on problem solving teams.Ability to work with in the cooperation with Equipment Engineer and/or Engineering Manager to plan and execute improvement project initiatives.Able to develop his/her own resources to solve problems and provides imaginative solutions to a broad range of difficult problems producing significant results.Analyze recurring equipment failures and suggest innovative technical solutions, or new work methods.Lead and direct the activities to develop/improve existing semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems.Collect equipment-specific performance data working with Engineering to develop and implement solutions to equipment-specific failures based on collected Pareto data, and tool deficiencies.Provide technical equipment-specific training to lower-level technicians.Interface and direct vendor support to resolve equipment related failures.Ability to perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair malfunctioning equipment to component level (diagnostic to component level), as needed.Ability to take a lead role in resolving process issues and participate in yield investigations.Proper judgment is required in resolving problems and carrying out assignment and making recommendations.Participate and lead/direct ERT/Safety events, during the absence of supervision.Ensure all required parts are on order and follow up as required to minimize equipment MTTR.Must be able to work independently with minimal support.Viewed as a technical expert in more than one Production tool type This Job Is For You IfTackle moderate to high complexity assignments, solving practical problems involving a variety of variablesParticipate actively in problem-solving teamsFollow established procedures and written or verbal instructions on semi-routine, non-standardized technical assignmentsRecognize deviations from accepted practices and take corrective action as neededConsistently demonstrate high-quality workCollaborate with Vendors, Production, Process, Facility teams, and Engineers to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot down tools and support equipmentProvide technical guidance and support to junior level technicians as neededOperate without direct management responsibilitiesWork within a fab and sub-fab clean-room environmentDemonstrate working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems operation and maintenance, with proficiency using hand tools and multimeters Job RequirementsMust Have:7+ years of technical experience in semiconductor manufacturing.Requires an AS degree (Military or Trade School with an emphasis in electronics/mechanical equivalent may substitute for AS degree) or higher education and prior experience in the following technical fields: mechanical, electrical or automotiveMust have demonstrated working knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance and be able to work with minimal or no assistance.Must have strong knowledge of electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics theory, principles of electrical circuits, motor control systems and test procedures and the ability to troubleshoot to component level.Hands-on experience with toolsets such as Akrion Rear Mount and GAMA, SCREEN DNS SU-2000 and FC-821L, SEZ 223 and 4200, FSI Mercury, and LAM Sabre NeXT, FabGuard, FPS. Compensation:$40 - $64/hr
