Equipment Technician - Hospital at Home - Hopewell - Full-time - Day

SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)

Provides support to the Hospital at Home program with routine, urgent, and complex supply and equipment needs to ensure quality patient care delivery is achieved.

Education MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous work experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.

Other Credentials

• AHA BLS.

Knowledge And Skills

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Proficient in English.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

Special Training

• CPR.

Mental, Behavioral And Emotional Abilities

• Communicate with hospital staff.
• Work with department leadership to establish and maintain adequate par levels of storeroom supplies.
• Identify malfunctioning equipment and notify appropriate personnel.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, visitors, and health care team members.
• Work cooperatively with healthcare team members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Frequent physical demands include: Sitting, Standing, Walking, Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders), Carry objects, Push/Pull, Twisting, Bending, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Squat/kneel/crawl, Wrist position deviation, Pinching/fine motor activities, Keyboard use/repetitive motion, Talk or Hear.
• Occasional physical demands include: Continuous physical demands include: Lifting Floor to Waist 30 lbs., Lifting Waist Level and Above 30 lbs.
