Equipment Specification Senior Engineer
About the role
This position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to introduce and implement equipment for new model launches. Using 3D CAD and simulation tools, you will identify design change points, develop specifications, and drive projects forward as a Project Leader, PIC, or Subject Matter Expert, from inception to final design and assembly. Your focus will be on characteristic improvements aligned with business and regional goals, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to meet quality, cost, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop new machine concepts based on engineering principles for process changes.
- Serve as zone/process/project SME, supporting technical project aspects and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead mid- to large-scale projects from an engineering perspective.
- Conduct detailed process studies of car parts, providing feedback to designers.
- Create specifications and verify during installation phases.
- Lead improvements in core methods and mentor team members.
- Maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in 3D CAD systems, automated equipment development, and strong technical communication skills.
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with some manufacturing floor support, requiring local, regional, and international travel as needed.
