About the role

Serve as the Technical Manager and perform a wide variety of technical functions in support of assigned Missile electronics systems/subsystems. Provide continued technical support throughout the system’s entire life cycle, including acquisition, operational, and disposal phases. The scope of the position may require assistance by one or more lower-graded equipment management specialists. Work under the direction of the System Program Director (SPD), Product Group Manager (PGM), System Support Manager (SSM), Integrated Product Team (IPT) leader, Supply Chain Manager (SCM), or supervisor for assigned programs.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
  • The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty

Skills

  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for identifying, considering, and resolving issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
  • Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component, and ability to apply this knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
  • Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices related to performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
  • Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations related to organizational issues.
  • Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.

Pay

2026 Salary Range: $40,736 - $97,087 yearly
