Equipment Shop Technician I

Responsibilities

• Carry out physical inspections and visual checks of diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and computerized systems to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Interpret diagnostic test results to pinpoint the cause of malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, such as oil changes, filter and fluid checks.
• Repair or replace worn-out or damaged components, including engines, transmissions, injectors, and cooling systems.
• Address issues with critical vehicle systems like brakes, steering, and exhaust, electrical, hydraulics.
• Conduct test drives to evaluate vehicle performance and verify repairs have been successful.
• Ensure emissions control systems and other components meet federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Heavy Equipment Repair and Diagnostics experience
• 1-3 years Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Repair experience
• 1 year of DEUTZ engine repair and diagnostics experience (preferred)
• Adhere to strict safety procedures and company policies while working.
• Use power, machine, and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
