About the role

Performs fueling, lubrication and minor repairs of heavy equipment in the field in accordance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and service vehicles with fuel, and perform preventative repair and maintenance.
  • Aid technicians with vehicle and mobile equipment repairs including engine, drive train, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems and fabrication.
  • Operate a vehicle to provide field service or pick up parts.
  • Prepare and submit appropriate records of services performed.
  • Promote and adhere to the workplace values of accountability, commitment, and teamwork to help enrich lives beyond expectation.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • AZ residents must have a valid AZ Driver’s License upon hire; newly established AZ Residents must have one within 30 days of hire.
  • Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement is required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must have the appropriate tools needed to perform the assigned duties.

  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment generally used to repair vehicles and equipment.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted safety practices and procedures.
  • Skill in completing service-related forms and reports.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting technical manuals and specifications.
  • Skill in using and caring for hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to follow and maintain safety standards and identify safety problems.
  • Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.

Pay

Starting salary dependent upon experience, qualifications, and position funding; starting salaries above the first quartile require additional approval.

Schedule

This position will be required to work 2nd shift.
