Back Equipment Service Technician Your Mission The Equipment Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Minitube equipment at customer facilities throughout the United States and Canada, as well as supporting equipment assembly and service operations at the Verona office. This role provides technical support to customers through onsite visits and remote communication, delivers operator training, and ensures accurate service documentation. The Equipment Service Technician is committed to providing exceptional customer service while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with the company’s ISO Quality Management System. Roles & Responsibilities Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for Minitube equipment at customer sites and Minitube USA facilities. Install, configure, test, and commission new equipment while ensuring customer requirements are met.Deliver operator training and technical guidance to customers during equipment installation and service activities. Collaborate with team members and support departmental and organizational goals. Objectives Complete preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair service calls accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.Diagnose and resolve customer equipment issues remotely through phone, email, and online support, providing timely and effective technical assistance.Complete service orders, documentation, and customer follow-up promptly to ensure accurate records and a positive customer experience.Deliver comprehensive operator training during equipment installations, ensuring customers are proficient in the safe and effective use of equipment.Submit complete and accurate service, installation, and customer training reports within established timeframes.Maintain compliance with ISO quality management system requirements by following established procedures, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Represent Minitube professionally during all customer interactions by providing responsive, knowledgeable, and courteous service. Your Profile Required Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, installing, or repairing electromechanical equipment, laboratory equipment, or industrial machinery.Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to prepare accurate service reports and documentation.Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple service requests, and manage time effectively.Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and travel throughout the United States and Canada, in addition to Minitube headquarters in Germany for training. Preferred Qualifications Experience installing, maintaining, or repairing laboratory, medical, agricultural, or automated manufacturing equipment.Experience conducting customer training or technical instruction.Knowledge of networking fundamentals, remote diagnostics, or PLC-based control systems.Bilingual communication skills, Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely move, install, and service equipment.Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.Able to utilize all methods of transportation including car, airplane, train, bus, etc. and travel internationally. NOTE: Up to 50% travel is possible. Expense reimbursement and company supplied vehicle as necessary for travel. Overnight travel depends on customer needs. Why us?
