Riesterer & Schnell is Wisconsin's premier John Deere dealership, serving farmers and residents for nearly 100 years. This position allows you to join the John Deere legacy, helping feed and clothe the world.
Responsibilities
- Maintains business relationship with customers, identifying their business needs and providing solutions.
- Primarily focuses on residential, commercial, governmental, and small ag equipment sales, but also supports all equipment lines as needed.
- Provides top-notch customer service through proactive account management and welcoming walk-in and over-the-phone customers.
- Acts as a strategic business partner to customers, being a trusted advisor for informed purchasing decisions.
- Conducts customer site visits to develop relationships and actively seeks and manages equipment demonstrations to attract customer interest.
- Generates sales opportunities through a consistent sales process and documents significant customer contacts in the company’s CRM system.
- Quickly follows up on customer questions and pursues all opportunities to an outcome.
- Serves as an internal store contact for whole goods inventory and equipment rental, coordinating pick-up and return, and processing documentation.
- Updates equipment and displays in coordination with current marketing promotions and assures customer receives proper instruction and manuals.
- May train customers' employees as needed and acts as a communication liaison to address customer concerns.
- Works with others at the dealership to ensure all deliverables meet customer expectations and maintains a high sense of urgency when communicating with customers.
- Remains up-to-date on product knowledge, incentives, programs, problem solutions, and market trends through training and learning opportunities.
- Maintains work area and vehicles in a clean, neat, and safe manner and represents the Riesterer & Schnell and John Deere brands positively at all times.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Agri-Business, or related field required.
- Three plus years of sales experience in a related industry required.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving history.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Ability to use a computer and current software programs required.
Pay
$50,000 base plus commission. Starting wage is subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Hours for this job are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 5 pm and a Saturday rotation from 7:30 am until noon. Overtime and limited evening/weekend hours may be required during peak seasons.
