Equipment Repair Technician I

Responsibilities

  • Work as assigned to troubleshoot and repair “returned for repair” units or components in a manner that efficiently and effectively repairs electromechanical equipment in accordance with operational specifications and customer requirements.
  • Performs with direction work requiring knowledge of equipment specifications, properties, materials and applications of the full array of hardware products offered by EMSAR.
  • Complies with company and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Informs and seeks advice from appropriate supervisor of atypical/unusual repair items.
  • Successfully completes assigned training within specified period of time.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School diploma or GED
  • Vocational diploma in electro mechanical repair or related field preferred
  • 0 to 2 years experience including knowledge of electronic components and equipment including the use of instruments for diagnostic purposes
  • Basic skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect equipment
  • Ability to exercise judgment in determining work sequence and in selecting proper tools and test equipment for each repair
  • Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic devices
  • Ability to follow detailed and defined work processes and work instructions
  • Good oral and written communication
