Job Duties And Accountabilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain small electronic dental lab equipment, including Handpieces, Vibrators, mixers, and curing lights, Digital scanners and small motors, Polishing units and specialty lab devices
- Perform routine calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance
- Maintain clear and accurate service records, logs, and parts inventory
- Cookordination with vendors or manufacturers for warranty and specialized repairs
- Ensure all repaired equipment meets operational and safety standards
Technical Support
- Aid lab staff with equipment setup and troubleshooting
- Provide guidance on proper equipment care and basic maintenance
- Support installation or configuration of small equipment and tools
General Facility Maintenance (as needed)
- Complete minor electrical, plumbing, or carpentry tasks within the lab
- Help with equipment relocation, workspace adjustments, and setup
- Respond to small maintenance requests to support safety and workflow
Qualifications
- Understanding of basic electronics, diagnostics, and repair tools
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Experience in a dental laboratory, biomedical repair, or related field
- Technical training or certification in electronics repair
- Familiarity with dental lab equipment and workflows
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected challenges efficiently
