Equipment Repair Technician

Job Duties And Accountabilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small electronic dental lab equipment, including Handpieces, Vibrators, mixers, and curing lights, Digital scanners and small motors, Polishing units and specialty lab devices
• Perform routine calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance
• Maintain clear and accurate service records, logs, and parts inventory
• Cookordination with vendors or manufacturers for warranty and specialized repairs
• Ensure all repaired equipment meets operational and safety standards

Technical Support

• Aid lab staff with equipment setup and troubleshooting
• Provide guidance on proper equipment care and basic maintenance
• Support installation or configuration of small equipment and tools

General Facility Maintenance (as needed)

• Complete minor electrical, plumbing, or carpentry tasks within the lab
• Help with equipment relocation, workspace adjustments, and setup
• Respond to small maintenance requests to support safety and workflow

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic electronics, diagnostics, and repair tools
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Experience in a dental laboratory, biomedical repair, or related field
• Technical training or certification in electronics repair
• Familiarity with dental lab equipment and workflows
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected challenges efficiently
