About the role

We're looking for a Sports Construction Equipment Operator / Laborer who has the experience to get things done and the mindset to help the people around them get better. You'll operate equipment, lead people, travel the country, and build sports facilities you can point to and say, “We built that.”

Responsibilities

  • Operate skid loaders, mini excavators, telescoping boom lifts, and other construction equipment
  • Install large-diameter poles, cable systems, netting, and other sports facility infrastructure
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, grade stakes, and job specifications
  • Calculate concrete requirements accurately
  • Review layouts and verify underground utility markings
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower, and deliveries
  • Help keep projects on schedule
  • Lead, coach, and train crew members; assign daily responsibilities and communicate expectations clearly
  • Monitor jobsite progress and anticipate what's needed next
  • Communicate with superintendents and project managers
  • Maintain equipment and keep jobsites organized
  • Hold the crew accountable for safety, housekeeping, and quality
  • Help solve problems instead of waiting for someone else to solve them
  • Conduct crew evaluations and corrective actions when necessary
  • Continue developing your leadership and construction knowledge

Requirements

  • A valid CDL
  • Experience operating a skid loader
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. work authorization
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
  • Willingness to travel and work Monday–Friday, weekends when necessary, 8–12-hour shifts, and overtime
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and work in changing weather conditions
  • OSHA 10 with a willingness to work toward OSHA 30; OSHA 30 is preferred

Pay

$25.00–$35.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Travel required
  • Monday–Friday, weekends when necessary
  • 8–12-hour shifts
  • Overtime available
