Equipment Operator Class A CDL

About the role
As the Equipment Operator / CDL Driver, you will operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver ANFO and other commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Complete inventory records, documentation, and reports.
- Drive and operate straight bed vehicles over public roads to deliver explosive products to company or customer sites safely and on time.
- Operate bulk/blend trucks to prepare and deliver quality ANFO products to customer sites.
- Perform maintenance on straight, ANFO, and dewatering trucks; deliver and offload product following Dyno Nobel Health & Safety Management System procedures.
- Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density.
- Load and unload trucks, and maintain magazines, sites, and inventories.
- Follow all safety procedures to maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving, operating equipment, and on blast sites.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports concerning the handling, transportation, and detonation of explosive products for accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and performance history.
- Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and safety procedures, as well as DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and BATFE regulations.
- Work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Proactively handle safety issues using the HAT tool and Take 5! process to promote personal responsibility for safety.
- Ensure all crew members and others on-site follow safety and regulatory procedures for a safe and successful event.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Class A or B CDL is required.
- Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsement required (or ability to obtain).
- Previous experience in the explosives industry preferred but not required.
- Must pass an ATF background check to be a possessor of explosives.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
Pay
$32.39 per hour.
