Responsibilities

  • Operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver ANFO and other commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Complete inventory records, documentation, and reports.
  • Drive/operate straight bed vehicles over public roads to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites.
  • Drive and operate bulk/blend truck to prepare and deliver quality ANFO products to customer sites.
  • Operate and perform maintenance on straight, ANFO, and dewatering trucks; deliver and offload product within DN H&S Management System procedures.
  • Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density.
  • Load and unload all trucks, and maintain magazines, sites, and inventories.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving, operating equipment, and on blast sites.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports concerning handling and transportation of explosive products, including safety, use, and detonation of explosives.
  • Use practices consistent with company policies, SOPs, work site, and safety policies.
  • Comply with applicable DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and BATFE regulations.
  • Work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Proactively handle safety issues and practice the Take 5! process using the HAT tool to promote personal responsibility for safety.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and ensure crew members and others follow all safety and regulatory procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Class A or B CDL is required.
  • Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsement required (or ability to obtain endorsements).
  • Previous experience in the explosives industry preferred but not required.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.

Pay

$32.39 per hour.
