Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Absenteeism is not tolerated.
- Operates most, if not all, power equipment used in course maintenance.
- Performs bunker maintenance, including adding sand and establishing a hard edge.
- Participates in irrigation practices such as hand watering, syringing, and repairs.
- Involved in course detail tasks like weed and debris clean-up, poa eradication, edge cart paths/tees, etc.
- Assists with course setup, moving tee markets, changing pin placements.
- Maintains equipment fluid levels throughout the day.
- Reports equipment problems/failures to mechanics immediately and completes correct paperwork.
- Performs daily equipment repair and maintenance as directed by Head Mechanic.
- Maintains equipment properly, returning it to designated locations and charging if applicable.
- Planting and maintenance of vegetative material.
- Transporting material.
- Leading up small and large crews.
- Maintain proper radio etiquette and return radios to chargers when finished.
- Available for overtime as needed.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Maintains a professional standard at Juniper Preserve including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence.
- Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.
- Supports and adheres to the CORE Values, The Mission Statement, Service Fundamentals, and Guest Service Philosophy as defined by the company.
- Maintains a positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Director of Agronomy, Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Head Mechanic, Assistant Mechanic or Foreman.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Basic physical abilities to perform duties as required.
