About The Role This position directly reports to the various quarry supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in production functions and maintenance. What You'll Accomplish Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies to assure that environmental, healthand safety are the first priorityActively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist as needed to improve EHSCommunicates effectively and timely with staffEnsure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all timesTrains and coaches other employees when neededPerforms other duties as time permits or as assigned Results/Accountabilities:nternal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resourcesEnsure compliance with internal control proceduresUnwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or lawAbility to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environmentAbility to operate equipment effectivelyMust understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areasDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. What We're Looking For Previous surface mining experience preferred but not requiredBasic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English)Welding, cutting, and mechanical skills are desiredHaul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipmentWilling to work overtime and weekends as needed Additional Requirements Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
