Minimum Requirements
- Experience: One year of general maintenance experience performing field maintenance work within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Education: Equivalent to graduation from high school.
- Licenses and Certifications: As a condition of continued employment, employees must acquire the following certifications by the dates specified:
- Adequate experience with an appropriate, valid Class B commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement on the date of application, and maintenance thereafter.
- Completion of an OSHA-10 course in construction industry safety and health hazard recognition and prevention, developed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor, within 15 days of initial hire, and maintain the completion card while employed in this classification.
- Attendance at training in work zone safety measures as requested by department management.
Special Requirements
May be required to respond to emergencies such as storm clean-up or sewer overflow.
